Woah, how many rainbow boas have you held? They are in no way slower than cornsnakes, mine move almost constantly! The fact that they also get bigger, makes them in no way easier to handle! But yeah, most of the time, they are amazingly calm.

Local shop has a breeding pair of brazilians in, and the neonites are so calm the just wrap around your wrist and sit their for ages (try getting a corn to do that).

They both look absolutely amazing you are so lucky. Parents put their foot down at corn snakes but some day I would love two just like yours it must be amazing to handle them.

Wow, the owners must put a lot of work into calming those snakes down, all neonates I have come across and have heard about have been snappy as anything. I was hoping mine would slow down with age, but was told that isn't normal brb behaviour, they are supposed to be inquisitive. I was also told when scared, they wrap tightly around you, I felt that in the shop before buying them, they have a super strong grip! Thanx! I feel very lucky for having them, they are awesome snakes to have, each is worth a thousand corns, but then I have always prefered boids... Why are your parents so against them? Its not like they get THAT big

It is not so much that they are against the snakes but since i was only supposed to have one corn and ended up with two they have said no more pets. They are worried I spend too much time with the animals and mess up my exams. My dads opinion is that after i qualify as an reptile vet I can have as many reptiles as i want.
Hey, maybe one day you will have your very own on-line vet. Now that would sound cool. ;D

Wow, coolness! Reptile vet that sounds awesome! I can't stand cutting animals up, even though I know its for the best...
I should probly be spending more time looking after my reptiles, but they probly prefer me to leave them alone as much as possible!

Great title ay. Long time off yet but one day I might be the person you all turn to for medical emergences. They can charge a fortune too. One that I have read about charges £26 for consultation for basic herps and the more difficult the more expensive. If i mange that along with reptile breeding I will be all set ;D.

I guess I kinda gave up knowing the grades I'd need to get onto a vet course, I'm just not clever enough Yup, you'll be able to buy all the Womas you want, you should buy me one...

Trust me i don't won't to give anyone the once over rubber glovers, 10 foot barge pole or otherwise ;D. Doctoring just isn't for me but I can probably do animals and snakes. And if i make it i will be more that happy to look at your snakes. The info you have already given me has more than paid the fee .

you are very ambitious which is good and hope you continue in your career as a reptile vet. i have always wanted to work with reptiles but job prospects are very limted and i don't possess the knowledge that most have to pursue it so i chose design and regretted it lol but i like the reptiles and always eager to read about their care etc best talking to a bloke called dave feldmar as hes a renowned reptile vet and writes for reptile care magazine and hes a good vet as he could give you advice and tips on how to go about it but reptiles still do make a small percentage of the animals kept today so you could go about it as additional training and research..my local vets actually specialises in exotic birds and reptiles and he jumps at the chance to see mine lol very nice rainbows amber, nice to hear they are doing well for you lee

Thanks for all the advice Lee I do realise I would have to do basic vet training then specilise in reptiles and also (please don't laugh) fish. I am determined to to what i want to do as i can not at the moment see any other job i want. No matter what i do I don't want, like so many people, to get up and go to a job they don't enjoy.
Do you know how i could get in contact with Dave Feldmar ?
