Hey John. I was just wondering if its ok to house a female mexican boa with a common mail or redtail (i think my mexican is a female from the head shape but i will have to get it probed)?
The reason i ask is commons and redtails obviously get to a larger size, and apparently males can be aggressive when breeding. As they would be quite large or about the same size as a female mexican, could they do damage to the female more so then a male mexican?
Just curious as i would like a boa that will get to a larger size, and if i could breed them, then that would be fantastic.

Just looked on google images at peruvian red-tails, and they dont look like my cousins. But he said it was and he knows a lot about snakes as his friend is also a breeder.
His boa is much darker and has speckles, but is definately a red tail. Im not saying is isnt a peruvian..just it doesnt look like the ones on google.

Just another question: if i get another boa about 4' female, will it be ok with a 2' female/male boa, or is there a chance of the larger eating the smaller one?
Also whats the best way to clean off a cork hide after a boa has dumped on it?^^
Thanks in advance

For the cork hide, just try and get of what you can, then if it'll fit stick it in the microwave for 1 min, this is enough to kill any bacteria thats left.
As to housing 2 boa together i wouldn't risk it as i know a pet shop that had 3 columbian rainbows in the same tank for around 4 weeks, then 1 of the boa's went missing and was found the day after covered in stomac acid from being eaten and regurgatated. All 3 were 6 month old and the siz differance between them all was no more the 3-4 inches, so i really wouldn't want risk it personally.
