Right my local normal pet shop 'animal magic' has decided to go reptilianon me and they now have leopard geckos, corn snakes and spiders. What im really worryed about is the corn snakes they have 3 normals in a 2 foot viv with a tiny tiny hide, nasty bark substate and they have no waterbowl. And a strong heat bulb with no guard like 2 inchs away from a basking corn. Also hes selling those corns for £50 each! Ive tried getting a job there recently just a couple of hours a week just moving stuff in the stock room and also to keep an eye and give a bit of advice on their reps. And the guy knows i have a large collection and he knows i know more than him.(he keeps hiis leopard geckos with his tortoises at his home)

As the guy know's you and knows you keep reptiles, i would say something politley, but making your point known. Ask the guy if he want's your help for a couple of hours after school 2-3 days a week and maybee on a saturday so you can keep an eye on the snakes and whateve else, and point out that the customer will feel more confident knowing someone actually keeps reptiles and knows their general day to day care.
I wish you good luck and if you get the job, then well done, fingers crossed for you mate.

I would suggest to the guy what is wrong. If he is an alright guy he should listen to your advice. At the end of the day you could be saving him a lot of money in the long run.
£50 is about average for a corn at a store I would say. Remember these people don't get them from the breeders much cheaper than you would and they need to make a profit.
I thought in order to stock reptiles shops had to prove they knew what they were doing. He should not be making these mistakes.

I got mine from a pet shop, paid £45 for it, I know that its treble what i'd pay from a breeder but hey, its gorgeous! I was quite happy to pay that, the guy is a genuine, throughly nice chap, and he takes good care of all his animal stock, plus, its still only £45 for something a little different and exotic.
Why don't you offer to help the guy out, show him the basics of snake care for a week or two, and you never know, it could lead to a bit of extra cash in your back pocket too.

Nah the guy doesn't listen to anyone and theres alot of storys about him too like him trying to house comboas of reptiles like house turtles with tortoises and apparently once he once filled a tank full of water and put herman tortoises in there because he wanted to know if they could swim.He doesn't listen to anybody and doesn't give a t0ss about anybodys advice or opinions.

I think you have got to report him then but remember stories aren't always true. Did you manage to get a job in the shop?

Well you've got to do something, you are in a position to act. If i was in that position, i'd do something. Offer to loan him a couple of books or something, at the very least

Where about is the shop. Trying to do a bit of research but it is quite a common shop name.
