OMG!!! The photos of that poor snake really got to me. I've heard of scratches and bites, but I never imagined anything of that magnitude. My daughter has a pet rat. I will never have the snakes out while the rat is out ever again (only did it twice, kept them far apart from one another). And she's worried about Hashmeer eating him...

Most of us on here use www.photopucket.com It's free and is a good picture hosting site. Just upload the pic's then cope the bottom file path (starts in img) and past it into the post your replying 2. If your struggleing then email them to me and i'll be happy to post them for you. Where are you from BTW, just curious as most places in the UK don't recomend live feeding, so i'm thinking your from state side or canada area?

hi everybody. i am chances mom. i have been watching this thread all along. i decided that i should post the link to her story. anybody interested feel free to look and please anybody who feeds live...i hope this story will stop you. www.redtailboa.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14320what i dont think i posted was that her old owner also broke her back with a blunt object. the x-rays showed it. my nephew owns a petshop and the old owner came in the petshop with chance in a pillow case. she threw the pillow case on the counter and walked out. i never got to meet the old owner or she would have felt what real pain is.

dave and john...dont worry about the size a RTB gets. they are gentle giants. chances tank is 6x2x2. she will be getting a 8x4x2 soon though. she dont need one that big but it is her present for beating this 10 month illness. back to the size thing, im only 5 foot 105 pounds and i handle her fine. the only time i have any trouble is when i go to put her back in her tank. she hangs on to me for dear life. i put her head in and when i go to put the tail in the head comes back out and hangs on again etc... this can go on for 10 minutes. if im not going anywhere she always gets her way and gets to come back out. but she dont realize she is an 8 foot snake and wants me to hold her the whole time or share my chair. the one pic posted is the night she decided she wanted the computer chair all to herself as you can see she won (spoiled rotten) i had to turn her soaking tub upside down and sit on that and type.

That's a good looking BOA. I have been thinking about getting a Red Tail. Heard good things about them. About how much would I be looking at spending? Man I think I am going snake crazy. I just want to buy any and every snake I see.
