Is there any way to find out the sex of a corn snake without having it probed? And how old before i can have it probed?

You can sometimes tell by it's tail and how it is shaped after its vent. It is acctually quite an accurate method if you can recognise the signs. THe males tail stays the same width for a while after the vent to allow space for the h.e.m.i.p.e.n.i.s ( curses because won't show the word) where as the females immediatly starts to taper. Why don't you post a pic. After you have seen both a male and a female it is quite obvious.
Hatchlings can also be popped but unless it is a really young snake this is not a reccomended method.
You could probably start thinking about getting it probed at about a year but it really depends on the size of the snake and what the person preforming the procedure it happy with.

Ww nee to be able to see the vent looking down so we can see the belly scales. I kno wit is difficult but is the only way that we will be able to judge the sex.

No problem john will be able to give a more accurate opinion. Also your local reptile shop will probably prob it when it is a good age. Just to give you an idea here is my male compost And my female granite ( she has not been probed yet)

I think at about a year but it really depends on the size of the snake and want the prober is comfortable with.

I agree with Shrimpley, and am 80-85% sure it's female. You can never be 100% without probing a snake, but i'm pretty confident it's a female.
As to probing, i only probe a corn r rat at a minimum shed size of 24 inches, with 30 inches or bigger being prefered. But thats just my comfort zone for probing snakes with slender tails. I can and have probed smaller snakes, but don't feel confortable doing it, thats just me tho, other people probe straight out the egg, but that's to small for me
