All my snakes vivariums are very clean and i always spotclean as soon as they do a poop so why doe's it stink so much? And i don't need to do a proper clean out because i only cleaned my vivs a few days ago. So what is it?and is there any safe non toxic air freshners i can use to cover the smell?

Now thats a tricky question. Ive done a few searches and cant find any pet safe air freshners, only ones that are non toxic to humans. I do know that in my pet shop you can get a spray, i think its lemon scented, you can use this to clean them out.
The only smell that comes from my vivs is that of the substate (like a woody smell), or ammonia smell when they have been the toilet. So im not sure why yours smell, do you have a lot of animals in one room? I only have my 4 corns so maybe this is why they dont smell, oh and quite a few plug in air freshners round the house, lol.

I'm with vicky on this, i think its ammonia, simpley because venus's can "smell" (even after spot checked) for about 24-36 hours, it's her though and not the viv as it is spotless(i check at least twice a day visabley).
I put it down to her diet which is a chick/mouse diet, as chicks make them "looser" and can often produce offensive smells when their "recycled".
You get the picture, and thats what i'd put my money on.
