I got my corn 2 snake from a new pet shop in billingham my home town, i thort it looked great it had just opend, and they had loads of realy healthy looking animals, clean tanks fresh water ect. I was realy upset when i realised hugo had a paracite that could have killed him, i blamed the pet shop as i know they bread themselfs. Anyway a friend came round for a chat today and told me when she was in getting feed inspecters were in going mad with the owner saying it was going to be closed down if it didnt sort its self out, Its made me realy mad i wish i had made a complaint. But who would i complain two ? Its obviouse the owner has let the pet shop slide, it had over 60 corn/king hachlings and 20 adults as well as breading pairs of every popular snake, loads of small lizards, turtles, spiders, aswell as fish and all your normall house pets. It not very nice to think all them animals are not being looked after. The worst thing is a diffrent pet shop close to my work has started to sell turtles and spoted geckos, when i went in last week none of the pets had water or food and looked dirty, this time im not going to stay quiet, its eveil so if anyone could let me know the best way to go about reporting them, with the animals best intrests at hart, id like your ideas

thanx john this is somthing that realy gets to me when i got my first snake as a beginer before i had a comp, i relyed on the pet shop for suport how can they give after care if they cant even look after them, so how many people have been given wrong advise? becouse im one of them as the owner told me i wouldnt have any prob keeping my males together just to get a sale and i almost lost him thew illness and i could have lost him if my older snake hurt him, im realy pissed off. not ony did he cost a lot of cash that she has taken with no regard for his safety. Its just a good job i did a bit more resurch before i put them in the same viv.

Their are "pet shops" and theirs petshops.
Some good some bad.
I've got a good local, and an equally bad local (advice wise, not care wise), care wise they are both good, but 1 owner keeps and breeds snakes and lizzard and other things, but the others only experience is in the shop envronment.
