I was talking to the guy at the reptile shop about the new snake I wanted. I told him how I would love a BCI or something similar but couldn't house something that big. He suggested dwarf boas which sound perfect. I wondered if you had any experience with them or any opinions.
Thanks.

A bci doesn't neccesarrley need a lot of room. A 6 foot long, 2-3foot wide and 3foot high viv will do for an averaged sized 6-8 foot common/red tailed boa. If it's a male then usually 8 foot is considered huge, with about 6 foot being average.
Dwarfs tho are good snakes and a 4foot by 2 by 2 footwill be comfortable for an adult dwarf. (again tho, female's can go over 6 foot in some dwarfs, with males averaging about 4foot).
Both are good snakes, and will calm down quickley making them handleable and easy to feed.

Thanks john,
4ft is really the biggest viv I can fit in which is why BCI are out of the question. Whould a 4ft fit even a large female?
Does anyone else on here have one? Some pics would be good.

A dwarf female will do fine in a 4 foor viv, it's the smallest i would go tho. 4 by 2 by 2 foot (long wide, high) will give the snake 8foot of floor room.
