safe plants

I would like to add a real plant to ma viv but dont know what is safe and would i need to cover the soil with stones or substrate?
Also id like to settle a a long standing argument with a friend, i have plastic plants hanging in ma viv the leaves look like dope plant leaves. this sparked of the thort, ma mate recons its coman for people to grow it in the snake vivs i think this would kill the snake becouse of the fumes anyone have any ideas

alo-vera or small yukka plants are safe to use, i just havn't found a yukka small enough yet for my viv's ;D

ur mate thinks people grow hash in snake vivs

i can honestly say ive never heard of that. i have saw the plastic plants that look like hash leaves tho

I have those plants aswell (the plastic ones). I can say i have never heard of people growing the real ones in vivs. They dont smell until they flower btw so I dont think they would harm the snake but i wouldnt advise it. More likely the snakes would harm the plants ;D

i wouldnt but it dose make sence with it being warm and having humidity and lights on timers but it would have to be in a larger snakes tank or a lizard that has reptile lights ect a mate grows it for personal use and says it would work but id worry about the snakes health i spose you could grow a male that wont bud

yeah the snake would defo damage the plant
