Venus!!! gone but never forgotten

Sorry people, wont be on to much for the rest of the day, i've just found venus dead.

It has been 1 hell of a shock as she was great last night and even ate after being out for half hour or so. So farno cause of death known, but she's at the vets having a necropsi done as i type, should be a definate cod in the morning.

Sorry can't face anyone at the min, even familey, so will speak to when i'm over the shock.

i just hope it was nothing contagious that the others mite have caught and it was a natural death, hopefully painless for her

:'(Just finished cleaning all the viv's (again, just did them all a week or 2 ago and nothing has shown up, no mites in any of the viv's or any other parasites, (did venus's last for ovious reasons), and venus things are now in a bucket soaking in bleach.

I'm thinking an earley nautural death, or venus was older then i was told when i got her. Eather way it's a shame, and it has cut me deep, keith i now know how you were feeling, and it's bloody awfull.

Tommorow afternoo at the earliest. Hate bank holidays, they can't get the test's to the lab till after 10 in the morning, then it depends on where i'm placed (should be near the top, it's not a specialist reptile vet).

it's the second hardest part, the hardest was finding her, she was under the heatmat and her mouth was open and 2 1 side, all i can see is her when i close my eye's....

Sorry to hear that. I know what you mean about seeing her when you close your eyes, I remember when I found Pandora, I was nearly sick when I realised she was dead.

At least she is in a better place now, but it still sucks

God i hope not. I would feel worse, if possible then i do now, and believe me i'm feeling pretty low. When the dog i used to walk every day for 8 years i wasn't this upset (wasn't my dog, but spent a good 3-4 hours a day with it, and loved it like my own).

Just hope i get lucky and have a possative ID on the C.O.D.
