Thank you all, shame the csfc show isn't next week , i could do a pint with a pint with all my snake and reptile friends right now. Not heard anything yet, so i'm still waiting on the call from the vet's, will let you all know as soon as i find out myself.

Just got a call saying it was a form of heart desise, a valve leaked and the body could't cope and bang she was dead in the space of a minute. Their was nothing anyone could have done and it has been put down to natural reason's. I'll be picking up her body soon and a copy of the pathology repor (yeah i requested and payed for it, i wont believe it till i read it). At least i know now she went quick and didn't suffer and their was nothing i missed or could have done . It still bloody hurts though, and i'll never, every forget the image when i found her.

Im glad to hear that she didnt suffer, that must be a relief to you. I know how you feel, as 7 years on I still cant erase the image of when I had to get my horse put to sleep, but once you get over the shock just try to remember the happy times and the wonderful life that you gave her. Im sure she couldnt have wished for a kinder and more devoted owner than you John. My thoughts are with you. RIP Venus and god bless you.

Oh John im soo very sorry to hear about Venus its always terrible to lose one of your pets but worse when there wasnt anything obvious wrong and to find it yourself it must have been a terrible shock. At least you now know that it was probably a quick death no suffering although i know thats of no help to you just now. R.I.P VENUS
