Granite has reached about 2ft in length and although she is still really thin her geo box looks too small for her so i think it is time I put her into her bigger viv. However due to buying a new fish tank( it is a beaut but I won't bother posting pics as I don't suppose any of you would be interested) I am completely broke. I don't think there is any problem in using the 6' by 11' heat mat in the 2ft viv but wanted your opinion. At the minute I am busy trying to find her more hides and a new climbing branch as well as a cheap shelf. She is quite out going so I don't think she will have any problem in her new home. Just have to make sure she can't escape.
Also since she could get through a light guard it is probably not a good idea to fit one. Right?
Thanks for the help.

The heat mat should be fine. As to the light, i would just tape a peace of perspec or similar in place (on the outside so she won't get stuck on the tape). Thats all i would do anyway.
As to the fish tank you welcome to post a couple of pic's in the photo section.
