I just collected some stick which will look great in my vivarium. I just wondered if you thought I should remove the bark or do you thinking bleaching then cooking will be enough. I removed all the bark off composts branch but it was messy and fiddily. If I don't remove It I think it will look more nautaral.

It should be ok if you just bleach it and cook it.

I think it would be much better with the bark on it. I have a branch in all my vivs they all have the bark on them. I would steep them in a bleach solution with very hot water for a few days or as long as possible depending on where u have to steep it.( i steep mine in bath) Then rinse extra well and i then i put mine in airing cupboard to dry out for about a week. I havn`t baked any because mine are all about 3ft long so dont fit in oven. I`ve never had a problem doing that yet.

My procedure is 1/2 an hour in bleach then rinse well. I then bake for an hour. They will now be in the freezer for 24 hours. That should kill the nasties
