For English I need to write a discursive essay. It was supposed to be on cloning but that is a really boring topic so I had a word with my teacher and she has agreed to let me do my essay on Keeping exotic pets. I am mainly concentrating on reptiles as I really don't want to get into monkeys and such like since they are not my strong point and in some ways I feel I might end up coming to the opposite conclusion from what I want to. I am looking for some help I need both For and Against arguments about keeping exotic pets . I have lots of thoughts but some real input from people that have to deal with the arguments would be great. So lots of ideas please people so I can really impress my teacher. ;D

Against: bloody hard to find if they escape, er...thats it! Might be worthwhile slipping in a paragraph about media misinterpretation?

Cloning is SO not boring Imagine a world where there are thousands of the same person, scary And cloning certain genes could save thousands of lives, how you can say cloning is boring... I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm doing the same kinda thing for my English coursework, or I will be if he lets me, arg.

Not really what I am looking for the points I need to make have to be ones from people that don't keep snakes adn the arguments that the RSPCA uses. To make it easier I will list the points I have got so far
Many of the animals you can buy without a lisence can be dangerous If not looke after properly e.g reticulated pythons
Wild animals shouldn't be kept in cages
That is it obviosouly each has it's own counter argument Definatly stressing that the media has a lot to play in the bad name reptiles have and also the problems years ago with large snakes been sold as perfect starter snakes.
Thanks again.

I would rather not post it on here. Incase the exam board think I have copied it of the site. It is for my English folio and they have searches to match your essay to anything that is printed on the web. Or so they say. I would rather not risk it.
John I have sent one to you. Meths want to Pm me an email address?

Just wondering what people thought about the essay. It has to be fully completed by next week so feedback would be great.
