OK so most of you know I have been trying to build my own viv and the price was going to come to about £80. Anyway I happened to be in the reptile shop today ( I find my self there most days ) and for once the guy was not busy so I questioned him on how much a viv would cost from him. And boy did I chose the right day. He has one coming in tomorrow that someone ordered but now doesn't want. And he will do it for £100, instead of the £131.31 he usually sells it at. Now it can be built free of charge, he will add in free light fitting and it means no hassle for £20 extra now I reckon I should go for it. What do you think? It is in limed oak and obviously it is a one day offer I take it tomorrow or have to pay the full price.

I think you probably have a good deal there Shrimpy...both of my 3ft vivs were about £100
plus if he is building it for you too - added bonus! shops charge too much...go for it

Agree with John - go for it. I'm currently trying to design a 6 sectioned viv for my little family, got design to a tee but buying the materials and building going to be a pain, but this is cheapest way for me.

Well I got it a while ago so here is a pic. I am still waiting on on a 23" by 11" heat mat and have to choose a thermostat. The man has ones reduced form £60 to £30 but I can't remember the name so will ask your opinion after I have been back at the shop. Am also going to fit a 40w spot.
