Having trouble squeezing in my new viv so have a few questions. Most of which I am sure the answer will be know but I might as well ask. opinions very much appreciated here 1) If the vivs are in direct sunlight for a couple of hours a day does it matter as long as there is plenty of hides for them to shelter in and water available? 2) Is a television on top of the viv a problem I would never put stereo speakers there but my TV is never that loud and I thought if I put a sheet of polystyrene underneath it it may be alright. 3) Is a radiator behind the Viv a problem it is off all summer and only on in winter to keep the chill of. Although it does occasionally get hot it is thermostatically controlled so is never hot for long in my small room. I imagine that they are all no go zones but never mind I will just get rid of my chair, desk and bed and sleep on top of the viv

I wouldn't keep them in a room with direct sunlight if it's going to be for more then an hour, but no direct sunlight at all is adeal (but ideal for every room or house i know).
Radiator wise everthing should be ok, for the summer at least, and maybee during the winter depending on when the radiator is on.
TV is a tough 1 as all tv's vibrate as they have speakers built in. Depending on where the speaker is (if known) it might not be a problem, if it's at the top half of the tv then a thick (1 inche plus) layer of polystyrine would sort out the vibrations and dmapen doen to an absolute minimum (same way that fish tanks use polystrine basicley). If the speaker is at the bottum half of the tv then i wouldn't put it on the viv. If your not sure DO NOT LOOK, it is EXTREAMLEY dangerous to even just unscrew the back of a tv.

Thanks John. As for the sunlight I won't risk it unless I have to. But it is only a small window so the entire viv would never be completely in light meaning the snakes would always be able to escape the heat and I doubt it would shine on them for mush more than an hour in total. Also it would be early morning when the sun is at its coolest. TV wise I will probably not bother putting it ontop of the viv as I will just buy a bracket if there is no other options. Oh and just so you know in future it is probably safest not to tell me things are dangerous as i will only want to find out why. I have succeeded to electrocute myself on several occasions and my dad on one. He was not pleased I think I will end up putting them up against the radiator as it might be the only option and if need be I will just have it permanently off. Thanks for the help.
