I don't know if anyone here has seen the preview of the movie called Snakes on the Plane... if not, the title is pretty self-exolainitory. My b/f and I saw the preview again last nite, andmy b/f said he heard from other people that this is supposibly th enew scary movie that people are afarid of.
I find th emovie completly rediculous. Snakes ona plane? Yeah, i'll admit, if I were really on as plane, and suddenly there werre all these snakes comming out, who all happened to be mean and out tokill me, I would be afraid...but what are the chances of that happening? I mean, poisonous snakes I'd really be nervous around, but from how th emovie seems to portray snakes, it seems they are using the general fear that non-snake lovers have: that snakes are aggresive monsters that attack for no reason at all. ( I know some snakes may be very agressive, but of the 2 I own, they are not aggressive)
Snakes seem to get a bad rap alot. I saw the movie anaconda, and yeah, I dont know much about anaconda's, but I would think they would not be that persistant/agressive. Of course I know it's just a movie, an dyeah, maybe anacondas are that aggresive. That movie, anaconda, doesnt bother me as much as this Snakes on a plane movie tho. I mean, I really dont think a big snake ( i dont know th ekind of snake Isaw on the movie preview, but a big snake, maybe a full grown bermese python, I don't think it would be comming out of the plane's light fixtures.
Plus, i bet if all those snakes did get loose on the plain, the majority of them would go and hide. And if some did get up on the passenger spot, they would be just as scared as the people are... hence they would prolly try and hide, unless people try to handle them who are not experienced, then I could see the snake attacking. I don't know much about venomous snakes, but the way th emovie portrays them, all th esnakes ( there were several...) were out to kill ya just because....
This really isn't a rant, just bringing up a topic and seeing if anyone else seen the preview and feels that it gives snakes a bad rap. I will say one thing: you get to see a lot of cute snakes!!! I just feel that movies like this make people think of snakes as evil/bad/shouldn't ever have one as a pet. But I havent seen the movie yet... but that's what I get from the preview.
