Well just a few things to tell you all and also a few questions. Firstly my new boa is in shed so is getting misted daily his eyes have cleared now so it shouldn't be long. Secondly I have a feeding question about Granite. She has been on two fuzzies for ages but recently started on half growns which I thought were huge but she just doesn't seem full. She usually takes two nights to digest the food but now is moving about the night after the night she if fed. Any suggestions on what I should do. And finally I have to tell you how great the guy is at my reptile shop is now I know i have said this before but I was pretty impressed this time. Basicaly I have been trying to track down a really funny shaped Arcadia lighting tube. The mans suppliers had stopped stocking them and I had no success anywhere else. I can of course get them online but the price of shipping a glass tube is rediculas. So I had given up hope and was in today to get a new starter to fit a regular tube only to find the guy had contacted Arcadia directly to try and track down the tube for me. He has not yet got an answer but is phoning them back next week. Now you don't get service like that everywhere . He also agreed to take me on work experiance every tuesday afternoon

Keep misting, esspecially if granite isn't soaking. I'm going off mine here, but they both tend to hide in the cool end for 12-24 hours just before they actually shed (instead of the warm side for them both, lol). About the feeding, if he's still active on half grown then try the next size up. He might struggle with the first 1 or 2, but after that should be absolutley fine till the next shed, or more likley the 1 after, then move up again (or switch to rats).
Good news about the bulb, not every shop will do that for customers, and well done on the work experiance, that'll put you in great stead when you get to vets collegue.

Thanks john. However I think I have managed to confuse you. Granite is my Anery corn not the boa who is sadly still nameless.
The boa is not soaking which is a shame and am having trouble getting moss for a moist hide. However I am spraying him regularly so all should be well.
Thanks for the advice. And yeah I was really pleased about the bulb and the work experiance. I am getting 8 weeks there and then 8 weeks at the vets, I get tuesday afternoons off school for it. He is on the cool side but seems to pend most of his time there anyway in his favourite hide so there is no change there.

Lol, sorry mate i'm tired tonight, been a long day.
Change my first post to stick with half growns for a few feeds, say 4-5, then add a fuzzie into the mix and if both are taken fine for 3-5 feeds the move up a size in mouse, lol.

No problem John. I was tired too which probably explains why the post is so confusing.
I have some pinkies which need used up, do you reckon it would be alright to start giving Granite a pinkie and a half grown starting tommorow.
Also the boa shed. I am really pleased as it came off as a complete skin with no bits missing. Also shed just before feeding day which means he hasn't missed a feed which is good.

Good result on the shed, not often they do that lol.

Yeah i was really pleased with the shed and he looks great much lighter than before. Granite only took a half grown as she is getting a bit dull and I thought it unwise to upgrade her feeding just before a shed.

I agree, the first feed after the shed try the pink and half grown combo.
