Hi all, Hope every1 is well! My gf would like me to bring my corn in her to her pre-school, she takes his shed skins in and they love it and are really keen to see him ;D He's got a good temperament and my 3yo nephew and niece have handled him fine a couple of times. So here come the q's 1) Am I allowed to bring him in to the pre school, do i need any special permission from council or something (The pre-school manager says it's fine and the parents are happy as well) 2) What would the be the best way to travel with him, I was thinking just to take him in his tank which is small enough to sit on the front seat in the car with a seat-belt round it and maybe a hot water bottle if it's cold, journey would take about 30 min. Has anyone done this before? Thanks Jay

First thing you need to do is talk to the school and make sure the staff members are fine with you bringing a snake in. Theirs no legal issues if you do this and ask them to arrange the day and time (they need clearance from a higher body, lol).
As for the traveling part, take the tank if small enough, but place the snake in a pillow case and tie it so he can't get out and place this in the tank (help to stop him panicing and keeps him calm as it's dark and secure). This is what i recomend to anyone moveing a snake as it works so well with 99% of snakes.
I've done 5-6 talks before, and actually done 1 where i took 3 snakes with me, as i can't drive it's hard to get them to the schools or wherever, but i o have 2 talked lined up this year before may and 1 is at a special school that a neigbours daughter attends and he's takeing me and bringing me back (next door but 1, lol). Dates havn't been confirmed for that 1 yet as it is a special school and theirs a lot of legalities and red tape to get through, but for a normal school or pre-school it should be relativley straight forward.
