Right it is possible to breed kings, milks and rat snakes together as some people i know have.If you bred a milk snake(as some only grow to 3 feet)with a corn snake would the hatchlings only grow to like 3 feet max?and what other traits would be passed down?

Not sure. I think it has been done, but don't know the results, or any other info. Anyone else have any info? Lee do you know if it has been done and the outcome?.

Because i was thinking if you bred milk snakes into corn snakes and then breed two seperate clutches of corn snake het milk snake then if its possible a smaller corn snake would arise.

Oh, this is how it starts, simple cross species breeding experiments, but then they want more, and more, until it's too late. Finally, they create ultra intelligent, abominations with a taste for human flesh and before you know it, humanity is enslaved.
Heed my words!

its been done with pueblans and sinoloans and kings such as ruthvens, cali, speckled etc very spectacular cornsnakes but purist attitudes in todays herptoculture is against them so they are a rarity or not bred a lot due to the breaking doen of bloodlines, infertility which comes with hybridising a dwarf corn is a intermontana a ratsnake crossing i would imagine but it would depend on entirely the parents as it could just inherit the patterning influence of the animal but still get to the size of the average cornsnake,in my opinion corns are a generally small speices and dwarfing them could lead to problems with regards to egg sizes and increased risk of dystocia which is a risk in many of the normal hybrids(ie pine/gopher x corn hybrids)but would increase further in dwarf specimens i got a few hybrids myself, many people are against it though good point lee

Thanks Lee.
I don't mind hybreeds, but i wouldn't breed for them, for me their a decrative snake (especially some of the jungles out their), but each to their own and i can see both sides of the hybred debate, but like i said, if i got the option of owning a good looking snake local to me thats a hybreed, i wouldn't hesitate in parting with my cash.

Isnt that why they changed Elaphe guttata guttata to Pantherophis guttata guttata because anything can be bred into them and the hatchlings or something would still be elaphe?

i met a dwarf not long ago i went to a party at one of ma mates mums house she told me her little bro had a corn so i went for a look it, at my amazment she told me he had had it for 5 years it looked like a normal but only a foot long ! so i started to ask lots of questions, i thort hang on this snake has been neglected but no everything was fine the lad had him from a baby. From what he told me thair was no reason to think he had under fed him or kept him in a small tank he had heat mats and it eats 2 good size fuzzys a week. The one thing i noticed he used the stones u would put in your fish tank as substrate so i advised him on better ideas and he changed to wood chips. Anyway i asked if i could hold him, wen i did i noticed it had no head markings. Who thinks this could have been a corn king mix

could have been unless it had say internal parasites therefore the nutrients from the mice werent getting to the snake therefore makeing it dinky.lol

the head pattern could be down to what is called diffusion. its basically a new pattern which we dont have too much of over here. it comes from bloodred morph. although i doubt this is the case here. i have seen small corns that are only small coz they havent been feed on anything bigger than pinks, thats pretty sad.
