Hi Guys,
well after much consideration im not going to get a Royal..(although I still love them !)
.I handled the most adorable Leucistic Rat Snake at a shop last weekend. He was an adult & very tame, but told by the man in the shop that these are normally very agressive ??
I also handled 2 babies 1 for which striked & the other was ok.
Has anyone got one ?
any advice on temprement would be great...I just keep thinking of the adult one I handled..he was lush..just had ill health but I cant stop thinking about him..he was so lovley.
if you have pics too thats great....cheers guys

I usually hear they are little terrors, but then ya hear that with a lot of species, and there are always exceptions. If he seemed fine and amazing, you should go with him. Its a naturally occuring thing though isn't it (being Leucistic). Was looking through the repticzone forums, but I see you have that covered already.

I have covered every forum there is !!!!
Once im in love, im in love !!!
I would go get that little boy in a flash, but my partner said the shop keeper seemed a little pushy & sounded like he wanted to get rid of him sooner rather than later, and obviously, briefly mentioned the health probs. (which he didnt expand on)
(mind u if i brought every single living thing that i fell in love with I could open my own shop !!!)
cheers guys ;D

This little boy didnt have bug eyes.. they were really quite normal & blue..
He looked like he had a few scale probs, some looked dull & discolured.. and the shop guy didnt expand on what sort of health issues he had into any great detail.. He did say tho that he was also under weight..
I wonder if he's still there ?? mmm

Just found another male adult.. may go see him on Sat..
I am finding it hard to find babies that I cant mail order. I like to handle any snake I buy & actually see it in the flesh so shipping is out of the question.
will update on Monday to let youguys know the outcome
