HELP!! My corn snake has escaped from her viv. I have looked everywhere I can think of, in all the dark warm places etc, I have even had floor boards up and I can't find her! I have only had her for a couple of months so I desperately want to find her. Will she come out of hiding when she gets hungry? Is there anything I can do to find her or coax her out? I am really at my wits end now, she has only been missing since yesterday evening but I'm so worried Please help!

Okay there's about 1000 things you can do to get it back. First try putting out a mouse on the floor and put flour around it. This will help you see where your snake came from and where it went. Also put lots of hides on the floor. Shoeboxes will work fine as well as some from her viv. Put a hide near the mouse on the floor as well. It might want to hide in there after eating. Tinfoil(I think) works well if you put it on the fllor and you can hear it when the snake goes over it. Finally look high and low snakes can almost get anywhere. Shelves, bookcases and many more, LOOK EVERYWHERE. Good luck and I hope you find her.

my snake escaped he was missing for 6days and I never knew till i got home. he turned up inside the radiator I think he was in there the whole time. It's best to look for it in the dark with a small light cos thats when they seem to be more active.

Thanx for the advice guys. I have spent the last two evenings looking everywhere I can think of. I had wondered about putting a mouse down for her but she had only just been fed when she escaped so I wasn't sure if she would be out looking for food! I suppose its worth a try though. The flour on the floor is a good idea, albeit messy, i might just wait a few more days before trying that one.

It might be messy but wouldn't you do anything to get your snake back?
