would he grow faster in a longer/wider home? also any other tips would help.. i have a light from the pet store but i dont always leave it on, someone told me i need a red type instead since hes albino the brighter white ones might hurt his eyes.
i feed him once a week, hes just lately been eating the next step from the fuzzies, the small mice that actually are all white fur. thanks alot everyone!

I use a standard 25 watt lightbulb without any problems at all, as to their eye sight, it's bad already and don't see like we d, they only ditect shapes (from what i understand that is).
! small mouse is good every 6-7 days (my chocky started on them before christmass, every7 days, but with the warmer weather he's now taking 1 every 6 days).
Are you using the light as a main source of heat? With what i said above i'm presuming your using it with a uth? but if it's you main light source then a proper heat bulb would be better, or better still (imho) a heatmat.

Where you from as i go off UK and US prices only? (i'm in the UK).
As to the setup if your viv is 2ft long, a 11 by 11 inch heatmat would be perfect, for a 3ft long viv again a 11 by 11, or 17 by 11 (depending on your weather conditions, all year round), and for a 4ft long viv 17 by 11 is what i would recomend unless its a 4ft l by 2ft h 2ft wide in which case i would recomend a 23 by 11 heatmat..
As to the positioning, most people use them on one side of their viv under the substrate (wooden or acrillic built viv) and under the viv for a glass tank, with something inbetween, (ceramic tiles for exapmle) to help against cracking. If you use a light, then 999 out of 1000 people place the light on the same side as the heatmat (or vise-versa if you have the light first). to help keep the temp graidiant..
Hope this helps.
