My new fish tank

Some of you might like to see this. At the moment it is stocked with cichlids that came with it but eventually I hope to turn it into a planted tank with 3 discus, a large shoal of cardinals and a plec. What do you think. Cost me £200. It's 4ft by 18' by 18'

Not a bad price for the size. I love disco's, cracking fish, but i never kept tropical, just cold water fish when i had a tank setup. I kept small koi, tench and orf.

It was actually a brilliant deal John. The cichlids alone are worth over £100. It came with a fluval 304 external filter £75,an internal filter, heater, 2 light units and extras. The cabinet is also very well made and looks brilliant.

I will keep you updated on the planted tank. Still struggling to afford another 200w of lighting and get my yeast to prduce enough CO2.

Really good deal, external fluvals arn't cheap. I remember paying around £25 for a fluval 3 (or was it 4?) about 8-9 years ago. Didn't realise what was thrown in, what a cracking bargain you got.

Hey i'm with lee!
It's alovely tank and fish are nice, but i've said no to any more fish as when they finally peg it. then i can get something scallie in there. hopefully a ghost corn!!!
i'm afraid fish arn't really my thing!! but heres my hubbys tank!

Always wanted a jewel tank from way, way back, lol. Just couldn't afford 1 at that time. Lucky so and so.

I have a jewel 180 with a mix of tetras, platys mollies and a plec
a jewel 240 with a couple of denisoni barbs, a severum,clown loach ,silver shark and plec
a rekord 96 with 2 puffers
and a 30litre baby tank with baby molles at the moment
