Here is Granite's new viv. I am not to happy with it but she seems to like it. What do you think about my new theremometers? They were £4 each so I got two and they are a really nice size and work well. Any opinions welcome

Maybe get some of those vines with the suction cup thingies. One of the big ones so ur viv looks more full. Just a suggestion. because i ahve a few in mine and it makes it look pretty good. Btw it looks pretty good how it is!

I don't really want to add any more wood. I have more branches but mainly due to the missing light guard they are strictly to one side. Once I get a fake plant in it will look a bit better I think.
Amber I am having light guard problems. I am still looking for perspex or such like to make my own but am yet unsure how to do it. The ones I can get at the reptile shop are too big for her and she could get inside them. She has difficulty reaching the bulbs anyway.

Your viv looks fine i have one with what i call smooth bark branch i much prefer the rough bark think it`s much better for the snake to get a grip on. Just keep a look out for a branch with the nice rugged bark it adds to the look too.

A peace of bark will aid sheding, IE something rough to rub their nose against. Appart from that i like it, and would only add a light guard, the light guards on livefood.co.uk are excellant, and will do any corn bigger then about 20-22 inches long. Thats just me tho, i like the bark look for a corns viv.

The light guard in compost's viv has about 1cm holes which she would be able to get through. What size are the ones from livefood it is hard to tell from the picture?
There is a small piece of corkbark just behind the water bowl and along with the rocks I think she should shed alright.
She seems to have settled in now she ate a large fuzzy on tuesday and there is no more stricking so all is good.
Also I have just found her in a rather comical position. She had curled up underneath the artificial grass and then pushed her head up and rested it on top of the thermometer.

Just to update. I got a fake plant which Granite loves she climbed right to the top before I had even got it in and know spends most of her time there. She is digesting two fuzzis up there as I type. The guy through the plant in for £2 so I wasn't complaining. Also fitted a DIY light guard after Granite took a likeing to the wiring.

Looks familiar, lol. My zeus loves to bask on top of her light guard (tho she's getting to big for that really).
