yeah i didnt know it was banned either, but you can still buy veneer stuff. it was just cheaper to change the vivs than run up a huge argos bill!!! The 4 foot one is really good now except where on the left hand side i replaced a piece of wood and half a runnerthe door doesnt open very easily on that side, but its better than hanging off! when i was picking up the stuff to do this i was making a mental note of other prices and i reckon that you could easily make an 8 foot version of that stack system i showed you for less than the price of a ready built 6 foot viv just need the time and space! but ill leave my version of it till next year i think as me missus is already worrying that im gonna sell her cats for money for stuff for snakes! i might be picking up that albino king snake this week, ill let you know and send pics if i do!! cheers mate dan

Vivs are really bad for tortoise's.Tortoises need high ventilation and many peoples torts die within a few years because of the confinement to them. Tortoise tables are recommnded by alot of tortoise keepers. www.hermann-tortoise.co.uk is the best site for learning the correct way to keep torts.

Dan i can get a 8foot viv ready built and delivered for less then £180 new, lol (i know a viv builder). Mind you saying that i'm planning a 8foot floor viv, with 2 4 foot viv's on top and 1 2foot viv and 2 3 foot viv on top of that as a full stack unit, with an aditional drop down door section on the bottum for the electrics and spare bulbs, heating and feeding tongs ect, just now drawn it up yet.
