The homes look nice. Ireally like the on that has the blue light, the BRB snake I believe... nice nature look, plus th eblue light looks neat. I think I have that type of log cover too... looks neat, doesn't it? LOL A bit off-topic- You know what else looks really cool? How in some photo;s, you can see in the reflection of the glass, you taking the picture. I always thought that looked neat, whenyou capture the photographer in the photo of the picture they are taking... lol, i hope that makes sence. edf

i was hoping nobody would make fun of me for my reflectiomn in that picture, i laughed when i saw it......the blue light is great for the corns, it imitates moonlight as it is in the invisisble side of the light spectrum to snakes. Great for night time viewing, also i would recommend a perch for anybody with a taller tank or viv, good exercise for your corn, and creates more oppurtunity to see your snake climbing. Thanks for the comments guys....ill post some more pics as soon as i can... ----Brian

Hey, i wasn't making fun, i just think it looks neat. I knew this one person in college who would always take pictures of glass for the neat reflections... I guess that is where I got it from... hanging out with her too much on her photo shoots. I am actually thinking of a perch-thingy for my corns home. She has tons of things to climb on, but I noticed she likes to climb in between the cage and the screen. I feared she would get out, so I put some books on top along with the cagelocks already. Now she has no room, but it would be nice to provided her with the option of hanging out on top of th ecage. Have you had any problems with the suction cups giving way? I am just afraid of it falling while sh eis on it- i dont think she would appreciate a roller coaster ride...LOL. edf

actually the suctions cup swork really well, i would suggest using a little saliva to get them to stay stuc against the glass, I've never had a problem with the perch, holds weight very well.
As for the BRB, she is very docile, i always put one of my old t shirts in her tank, and she crawls in to it, i keep it very moist, and then i put the heat pad under the tank in that area. It makes a little pocket of warm humid air that she just loves, and when it gets to hot she loves to take baths in her tub, very friendly snake, great eater too. I highly recommmend you get one if you have the oppurtunity to care for one.

Could have got a pair of brb's when i got dave, both subadults and big enough to breed next year, just didn't have the cash (£250 ($500 give or take) the pair with a twin viv setup). Thats cracking value if i had of had it as sub adult pairs of brb's on their own usually go for between £3-£400 withoug a viv, and neonites are about £120-160 depending on if its a breeder or a shop bought snake.
Like i said i'll just have to wait and see what next year brings.

i paid 125 $ for my female, i was lucky enough to pick from about 10 of them, i picked the most colorful one, even though they change colors as they get older. I just cant think of a boa with such beautiful colors as the BRB. yellows, oranges, red, browns, blacks, and throw in rainbow shine, you got yourself a gorgeous snake. I've never pondered breeding mine, but in a year she will be a full adult. Right now she about 4 feet, good girth, just have to find someone to breed her with. Actually i have no idea on how to breed a boa, maybe i should strat researching now...hehe

Boa's are easier to breed then corns tbh as they incubate the eggs themselfs and give birth rather then lay the eggs. I know for bcc and bci that breeding occures quite earley on (jan-feb time i think) and they give birth after quite a while, it's just a case of weather they will actually do it and weather the eggs become fertile i think from the little resurch i've done.
