What sort of pointers do you want? Let me know what age (or size) your snake is and how often your feeding and what your feding it on and we can give pointers from their.
Welcome to the site btw.

Ok, first off it's only a hatchling, probabley 1 of last years late hatches. I personally feen my hatchlings on a 5 day schedule and keep to that untill they are on small adult mice whn i move them to every 6 days. Housing wise a platic box is great or a small wooden viv no bigger then 2foot long ans 12 inches wide and 12 inches or more higher. Here's what i keep my hatchlings in untill their about 2foot shed size then they go into a 2 ft long viv by 12 wide and 18 high. I use a 23 by 6 inch heat strip to heat upto 8 of those boxes,http://www.cornishcrispa.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=49_117&products_id=327 each tub is on it about 2 1/2 inch but with just the 1 snake you might want to use an 11 by 11 heatmat that can be used again in a 2foot long viv or a 3 foot long viv. A really good tip is that some hatchlings are easiley spooked so feed at night as late as possible. If they don't take the food straight away don't worry, just leave it in the snakes home overnight and it's usually gone the morning after. Also please remember to change the water, preferabley dailly but every day is ok as long as it's not left any longer then 48 hours. After feeding leave for between 24-48hour before handleing the snake (use your own judgement on if their is a big food lump their, if their is leave it till the day after, but 48 hours is usually great). I have 11 snakes at the min and they all get handled at least 3 times a week, but i do try for 5-6 times a week each, with each of mine getting between 10 and 30 mins (my hatchlings get around 10 mins each, my adults and my boa's nearer 30 mins each). The other thing is, use a thermomitor to check the temp of the viv floor every day, it should ideally be 84f, but anywhere between 80-86 is comfortable for cornsnakes. If the temp is 2 low then you need a bigger mat, if 2 high then a thermostat (a thermostat should be used anyway, it's not really an optional extra). My thermostat is set to give a consistant 84 which knockes off at 86 and on at 82 so the proper heat is always comfortable. Those are the basics i tell everyone who wants a basic general idea of whats need for a hatchling corn snake. Please ask questions and remember their is no dumb of stupid questions, if you don't know then their good questions to ask!!! Hope you find this usefull and i do check in at least twice dailly (my forum and my homepage) so i never miss a question or query, just give me and some of the other users a couple of hours to respond. If it's urgent then email me as my inbox is always open (and checks every 5 mins for new msg's).
