Hi guys, ;D I went down the park today and found some realy nice wood, but im not sure if the wood is ok to put in the viv, also if it is ok i noticed that you could either bleech it or bake it in the oven, and i was wondering if i baked it in the oven what temperature should it be and for how long? I have no idea of the woos type, but all the bark has came of on the wwod and the underside where the piece of wood was layed on the floor is damp, there seems to be no termite holes and the wood is pritty solid. thanks in advance, Sam

I would wipe it down with thick bleach (no watering down) and do this twice, once 1 day and once 24 hour after, then place in the airing cubbard for a week (of 2 big for the oven), or leave for 48 hours then dry in the oven for about 20-30 mins on gas makr 4, checking every 10 mins to make sure it's not to hot.

use miltons to steralise decor as its safer than bleach you can find it at most shops or if small enough put it in the freezer lee

Its the suff you use for steralising babies bottles. It smells like swimming pools, lol
You can either get it in liquid or like me you can get it in tablets that just disolve in the water. It works out really cheap in the tablets and they last for ages. Its in wilkinsons by the baby stuff. Or boots, chemist etc. Its a bit safer than bleach so you dont need to worry about rinsing it 100 times!!
