This is the Royal starter kit i bought a few weeks ago and set up is it ok?

Should be ok till the snake gets to around 2ft ish (I presume it's a 2ft long viv?). Dave, Lee what are your thought's? (Sorry havn't got a python....yet)

cool set up lozzer!!! just remember not to feed it on the substrate! now all you need is your birthday royal to put in it

Yer John the viv is 2 feet and Dave im going to put the mouse in the papertowl tube to feed it.

ok cool just make sure he/she doesnt take it back out as the substrate could cause blockage if it is swallowed! sorry if i seem a little pushy bout it but it seems to be more common in pythons and boas anyway good luck with your snake mate ;D

cool set up.... ;D royal pythons are generally very shy animals so it may be worth covering the back and the 2 sides with black card as they get nervous(which sometimes results in them not feeding) if all 4 sides are visible and as said put paper towel in while feeding its not happened to me as of yet but have friends who keep their royals in glass cages and thats what they do do you have a thermostat to control the right temps as royals will also go off feeding if the temps are not met other than that it looks a great set up and best of luck with your royal python lee

No i have not got a thermostat(mat stat)as if yet as i spent it all yesterday on my corns new viv. Its still going to be a few months yet anyway. And currently the viv temp is around 85-90 on the hot side.
